Mucinex Kids Minimelt Orange 12 Count Case of 12 by Reckitt Benckiser is a non-drowsy, over-the-counter medication that helps to loosen mucus and phlegm in the throat and chest. It is designed for children ages 4 to 11 years old.
Each Minimelt contains 100 milligrams of guaifenesin, the active ingredient in Mucinex. Guaifenesin is a expectorant that helps to loosen mucus so that it can be coughed up more easily.
Mucinex Kids Minimelts are generally safe for most children. However, they may cause some side effects, such as stomach upset, drowsiness, and headache. If your child experiences any of these side effects, stop giving them the medication and talk to your doctor.
Mucinex Kids Minimelts should not be given to children under the age of 6. They should also not be given to children who are allergic to guaifenesin or any of the other ingredients in the medication.
