Linezolid is an oxazolidinone antibiotic with activity against gram positive
bacteria but has no gram negative cover. It is reserved for resistant gram
positive infections such as VRE or MRSA
Oral and Intravenous infusion: 600mg every 12 hours.
The maximum licensed duration of treatment is 28 days.
Renal/Hepatic impairment – No adjustment required, however use with
caution due to limited clinical data.
