Dosage & Administration

• Adults:

  • Typical dose: 250–500 mg twice daily (every 12 hours)

  • Maximum dose: Not to exceed 1000 mg/day in most cases

  • Take with food or milk to reduce stomach upset

• Elderly or patients with kidney issues: Lower doses may be needed

Pregnancy & Lactation

• ❌ Pregnancy:
  Naproxen is not recommended during the third trimester, as it may cause premature closure of the ductus arteriosus and other complications. Use in early pregnancy only if clearly necessary.

• 🤱 Breastfeeding:
  Use with caution. Naproxen passes into breast milk in small amounts. Short-term use is usually considered safe, but prolonged use should be avoided unless advised by a doctor.
